Looking for Potential [open]

Kate sat in the corner of the cafe she'd settled into, and frowned at the notebooks spread in front of her. It was hard to re-focus on the other projects she had going, but she couldn't work on their pet in public; if anyone intelligent enough wandered by, they would likely take exception to mind control. Absently, mind mostly occupied with her and Teresa's best project to date, she attempted to take a sip of coffee; attempted and failed, because the cup was empty.

Annoyed with the lack of coffee, she stood up and stalked to the counter, wallet in hand and stood impatiently in line behind a rather slow idiot who kept changing his mind about what he wanted. When he finally figured it out, she could have cheered, but instead shared an eye-roll with the harried barista.

"Your usual, Miss Davies?" "Yes please, and five more of those decadant cookies." There were others in line behind her, so she didn't delay in paying and leaving a substantial tip. Good coffee and good service were worth it.

It was an unusually boring day so Tosh decided to go out to get her coffee instead of making it herself. She didn't ever make it like Ianto did, which was pretty sad, since she knew how she liked it but it never taste the same.

The door jingled the little bell up top as she opened it. Tosh scanned the small area. It was pretty packed, but then again it was a Sunday. Most of the tables were filled by their two or three seats and Tosh wandered a bit to find a partially open table to claim before she got her drink.

A ha! She found one. Right in the corner. There was a blonde woman sitting there with notebooks scattered, but Tosh didn't mind; it reminded her of her work station.

"Hi," She said. "Is anyone else sitting here?" Tosh looked around the room indicating it was full. She sat down and smiled. "By the way, my name is Tosh."

Kate had only just sat back at her table when someone showed up and asked to sit with her. She frowned as she looked up, intending to tell whomever it was to bugger off, but even out of the corner of her eye she could see that the cafe was crowded. So instead she pulled the furthest notebook closer to her, making room, and nodded.

"I'm here alone, feel free. And I'm Catherine."
