"Yeah, it'd raise a few questions - especially since I run the security protocols.." A grin. He wished he could have said 'screw the security and screw the questions', but... there was that responsibility thing again. He was starting to hate that word. "We could. You're welcome anytime." He had to say that, in case she didn't know.

"Ah...and if you don't follow them yourself, they'll wonder why they should?" She asked lightly. Rose figured she'd just end up to the side once the working day and things that came with it started, and it was probably and idea to check in at home anyway. "Just preferably after hours?" She couldn't help joking, though she smiled.

"Exactly. And we've had a few too many security breaches lately.." Well, within the last year they'd had far more than he would have anticipated - or hoped for. He preferred his staff keep thinking all the security protocols went for everyone, since it kept them following them. And if they stopped following them.. Well.

"Yeah, after-hours would be nice. It's more fun then anyway, right?" After all, wouldn't have to worry about his getting called off for work.

She started to ask if there'd been anything serious, but realized that would probably be under the confidential bit. Besides not really being her business. "All the more reason for me to sneak out then, I guess." Wouldn't want to cause more problems.

"Exactly. More convenient too." Especially since she could maybe make a trip over after her own work.

"Unfortunately," Jack said, nodding. "They might start ignoring me completely, you know." A light joke. He didn't adhere to his own rules all the time - in fact, he hardly ever did - but he did get an awful lot of questions when he was blatant about it. Dammit.

"And that'd be bad. Wouldn't want to be the last straw." She couldn't help wondering though, if waiting to be discovered wouldn't make things worse when they were found out. Just have to be careful, she figured.

"Right; then I'd have to blame you when the team stops taking orders." Jack nodded. He knew that, if Rose kept stopping by, sooner or later he'd have to explain to the team. But he was putting that off for the time being. It was too new and he was too glad of it to ruin the mood with the others' probable indignance.

"Guess I should make sure I'm gone before they get here then. Make sure that doesn't happen." Not that it would take her long to go, around thirty seconds total. Wouldn't do to have them catch a glimpse of her vanishing if she waited to long though.

"Probably for the best.." It was unfortunate. He didn't necessarily want for her to leave. But there were other factors to consider, and at the moment, it was for the best. Just for now. "You have to come back soon, though, or I'll miss you." He said it as a joke, but he meant it.

"I will. Promise." She told him sincerely, smiling softly. It wasn't like she hadn't been coming through often enough already. While she didn't exactly want to go yet herself, she was more than sure she could make her way back. "Can't just leave you waiting, can I?" Rose asked him lightly.

"No, that'd be cruel," he replied, giving her a smile. "I'd just end up waiting forever." Well, hell, he'd done it before... anyway. Moving quickly along..

"Can't let you do that..." Rose told him softly. She moved forward, giving him a quick hug before taking a few steps backwards. "I'll be back." She promised again, pressing buttons on something at her wrist, finger hovering over the final one.

He hugged her back, just quickly, and then he watched her, nodding. "You'd better be," he said, lightly - a joke. "See you then." That perhaps a bit more softly. He almost didn't care that he had no idea when she would be back. He trusted her to come back - much as she had trusted him to return for her, all that time ago.

"See you." Rose shot him one last smile before glancing back down at her wrist and pressing the button. It took a few seconds for her to fade entirely, and in the time it took for her to glance back up at him, her head tilted slightly, she was gone.
